Managing Hyperkalemia with Confidence: Practical Pathways to Maintain RAASi Therapy in Heart Failure

During this interactive symposium at the Heart Failure Society of America (HFSA) Annual Scientific Meeting 2026, expert faculty will explore practical pathways to maintain renin–angiotensin–aldosterone system inhibitor (RAASi) therapy in heart failure.

This activity will translate guideline recommendations into practical workflows for potassium monitoring and hyperkalemia management in patients with heart failure, while evaluating evidence-based strategies to balance RAASi optimization with effective potassium control. Through engaging discussions and real-world considerations, the session will also highlight the importance of integrating potassium binders into patient care plans, with emphasis on safety, adherence, and overcoming real-world barriers, and will apply multidisciplinary and patient-centered approaches to optimize outcomes in patients with heart failure at risk of hyperkalemia.

This activity is supported by an independent educational grant from AstraZeneca.
