Rethinking CRSwNP: A Comprehensive Learning experience for Optimized Patient Care
This series, provided by National Jewish Health, includes three interactive components to explore the pathophysiology and inflammatory pathways of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP); strategies for multidisciplinary collaboration in diagnosis and management; and current and emerging treatment options.
The first component is an interactive infographic activity that explores the central role of epithelial cytokines such as TSLP, IL-33, and IL-25 in driving the inflammatory cascade of CRSwNP and explores how these processes connect the upper and lower airways. By breaking down complex disease mechanisms into accessible animations, this activity helps clinicians better understand pathophysiology, disease burden, and the biologic targets that are shaping emerging treatment strategies
The second component is a decision aid and point-of-care tool designed to strengthen clinical reasoning in CRSwNP management. Through a dynamic algorithm, learners navigate immersive case-based scenarios that adapt based on their diagnostic and treatment choices. Beyond the activity itself, the same tool will be accessible as a resource in daily practice, allowing clinicians to input patient details and receive tailored treatment suggestions.
The initiative concludes with live virtual roundtable discussions that provide opportunities for peer-to-peer learning and direct interaction with expert faculty. Scheduled throughout the year, these sessions encourage multidisciplinary dialogue, where participants can discuss faculty-prepared cases, present their own cases, and engage in Q&A with experts.
