Eye on Access: A Longitudinal Approach to Closing the Gaps in Retinal Disease Care in Rural and Underserved Communities
Retinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and retinal vein occlusion are leading causes of vision loss in the United States. Early detection and timely intervention are critical to preserving sight and preventing long-term disability. In rural and underserved communities, primary care clinicians are often the first—and sometimes only—point of contact for patients at risk, underscoring their pivotal role in early identification and management. This four-part CME/CE series will highlight best practices to enhance early detection, referral, and care coordination for patients with retinal diseases and provide a comprehensive overview of evolving treatment options. Expert faculty will also share collaborative, multidisciplinary strategies to reduce preventable vision loss and advance timely, patient-centered care in rural and underserved settings.
This series is provided by Talem Health and RME Collaborative.
