Ending the HIV Epidemic: Expanding Access to HIV Treatment for Rural and Underserved Communities

Therapeutic advances have led to a streamlined, evidence-based approach to HIV management. However, healthcare professionals who care for patients from rural and underserved communities may not be up to date on approved and emerging antiretroviral therapy regimens, leading to missed opportunities to serve this disadvantaged population. In this two-part CME/CE video series, experts will discuss the latest guideline recommendations and best practices for individualizing HIV therapy in the primary care setting to enhance adherence and support long-term treatment success. They will also highlight strategies for improving monitoring and follow-up care, adjusting therapy over time, managing care in special populations such as pregnant women, and overcoming barriers to adherence.
