Target Audience
The target audience for this educational series will be dermatology clinicians (MDs, PAs, NPs, and nurses).
Program Overview
Generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP) can look familiar but missing it can have serious consequences. Uncover how IL-36 signaling and immune dysregulation shape disease presentation, progression, and treatment response. You’ll learn to distinguish GPP from other neutrophilic dermatoses using clinical clues, biomarkers, and diagnostic tools. Explore how emerging targeted therapies are changing what’s possible for patients who previously had limited options. Real-world strategies will help you build comprehensive, long-term management plans that go beyond symptom control. If you’ve ever second-guessed a pustular case, this activity will sharpen your clinical instincts.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Analyze the role of IL-36 signaling and other immune pathways in the pathogenesis of GPP and related conditions
- Differentiate GPP from other neutrophilic dermatoses using clinical presentation and immunological markers as well as clinical tools and biomarker-based disease evaluation
- Evaluate the efficacy of current and emerging targeted therapies for GPP based on their immunological mechanisms of action
- Formulate comprehensive management plans for GPP patients that incorporate both dermatological and immunological considerations
