Program Overview
Stuck on EoE marks the latest installment in the innovative reelCE™ series—a micro-video, social-first CME/CE initiative designed to educate busy healthcare professionals through fast, high-impact content. This activity targets gastroenterologists, emergency medicine physicians, primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician associates with specialty-specific tracks focused on the timely recognition and personalized management of eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE).
Primary care providers are often the first touchpoint for patients with undiagnosed EoE. This track focuses on EoE pathophysiology and T2 inflammation, early recognition, differential diagnosis from conditions like GERD, and evidence-based strategies for treatment initiation and specialist referral. This series of short-form videos deliver practical insights to help PCPs close the diagnostic gap and ensure timely intervention.
Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:
- Describe the pathogenesis of eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), including the role of Type 2 inflammation
- Identify signs and symptoms of EoE using evidence-based guideline recommendations
- Assess the mechanism of action, efficacy, and safety of both recently approved agents for the treatment of EoE and those in late-stage development
- Develop personalized evidence-based treatment strategies, including referral to a specialist, for patients with EoE using current and updated guidelines
