Program Overview

Stuck on EoE marks the latest installment in the innovative reelCE™ series—a micro-video, social-first CME/CE initiative designed to educate busy healthcare professionals through fast, high-impact content. This activity targets gastroenterologists, emergency medicine physicians, primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician associates with specialty-specific tracks focused on the timely recognition and personalized management of eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE).

Designed for emergency clinicians, this track highlights the recognition of EoE during acute presentations—especially food impaction and unexplained dysphagia. Learn the role of EoE pathophysiology and T2 inflammation, how to differentiate EoE from other acute esophageal conditions, understand new and emerging treatments, and make timely referrals that can reduce recurrence and long-term complications.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  • Describe the pathogenesis of eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), including the role of Type 2 inflammation
  • Identify signs and symptoms of EoE using evidence-based guideline recommendations
  • Assess the mechanism of action, efficacy, and safety of both recently approved agents for the treatment of EoE and those in late-stage development
  • Develop personalized multidisciplinary care strategies, including referral to a specialist, for patients with EoE using current and updated guidelines
