The intended audience for this activity is physicians and nurse practitioners specializing in psychiatry, as well as pharmacists who are involved in the management of patients with anxiety and/or depression.
Program Overview
Several psychedelic and psychedelic-adjacent therapies are advancing through late-stage clinical development, expanding the evidence base supporting their efficacy in the management of anxiety and depressive disorders. However, many clinicians remain unfamiliar with how these therapeutic models differ from conventional treatments and are uncertain about when these treatments may be appropriate for individual patients. In this CE podcast, expert faculty will distinguish emerging psychedelic therapies from currently available treatment options and outline practical, evidence-based approaches for integrating these therapies into routine care for patients with anxiety or depression.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
• Recognize how emerging psychedelic treatments differ from currently available options.
• Determine when psychedelic-based treatments may be appropriate for patients with anxiety or depression.
• Outline practical and evidence-based approaches to integrating emerging psychedelic therapies into routine care for patients with anxiety or depression.
