This activity has been designed for dermatologists, dermatology physician assistants, dermatology nurse practitioners, and other providers involved in the care of patients.

Program Overview

This 30-minute Seminar in Depth from the 2025 Fall Clinical Dermatology Conference explores how to interpret gene expression profiling results and apply the insights to treatment strategies for patients with skin cancer. A patient, Leah Adams, joins our expert faculty panel to share her journey with melanoma diagnosis and the impact of gene expression profiling on her treatment course.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to: 

  • Explain how to interpret gene expression profiling (GEP) test results used in the prognostic workup of patients with skin cancers
  • Discuss strategies to incorporate results from GEP testing in the clinical decision-making process for patients with skin cancers
  • Describe the impact of GEP testing in skin cancer with respect to the patient diagnostic and treatment journey
