Target Audience

This activity has been designed for dermatologists, dermatology physician assistants, dermatology nurse practitioners, and other providers involved in the care of patients.

Program Overview

Indolent systemic mastocytosis (ISM) can present with a wide range of systemic and cutaneous symptoms, making timely diagnosis challenging. In this 20-minute Seminar in Depth, expert faculty review practical approaches to recognizing and diagnosing ISM and highlight emerging targeted therapies designed to rapidly control mast cell–driven disease burden.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to: 

  • Discuss the heterogeneous and cutaneous clinical presentation of indolent systemic mastocytosis (ISM) as it relates to early diagnosis
  • Identify patients with ISM based on the 2023 National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) guidelines
  • Describe new and emerging targeted therapies available for the treatment of ISM
