Program Overview
Despite similar rates of depression across racial and ethnic groups, individuals from marginalized communities are significantly less likely to be diagnosed, treated, and supported effectively for major depressive disorder (MDD). It's time to change that.
Join us for an evidence-based webinar that will give you practical strategies to:
- Identify and address disparities in MDD diagnosis and treatment
- Improve adherence and outcomes through culturally responsive care
- Explore emerging therapies and treatment strategies for MDD and treatment-resistant depression
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Discuss variation in depression diagnosis and treatment among individuals from racial and ethnic minority groups.
- Develop strategies that ensure treatment uptake and support treatment adherence in Black patients with MDD.
- Apply approved and emerging investigational therapeutic agents for MDD, once available, to treatment plans of Black patients with MDD.
