Target Audience

The educational design of this activity addresses the needs of oncologists and gastroenterologists, including APPs.

Program Overview

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) remains one of the most lethal cancers, with limited therapeutic options and persistently poor survival outcomes. As advances in molecular profiling uncover actionable genomic alterations – including KRAS-targeted approaches and rare but meaningful biomarkers – oncologists and gastroenterologists face a growing need to integrate precision medicine into routine PDAC care.

“Cracking the Code in PDAC” will equip clinicians with practical, evidence-based strategies to optimize treatment planning for patients with metastatic PDAC. Expert faculty will review the importance of early and comprehensive molecular profiling, examine emerging data on targeted and biomarker-driven therapies, and translate these insights into real-world clinical decision-making. Joining the faculty panel, a patient advocate will highlight supportive care needs and lived experiences of those navigating the PDAC treatment journey. By the end of the activity, clinicians will be prepared to integrate precision oncology approaches while supporting resilience, symptom management, and quality of life for patients facing this high-need disease.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  • Assess the role of early, comprehensive molecular profiling in guiding precision PDAC treatment planning
  • Analyze evidence from trials investigating targeted and biomarker-driven therapies in metastatic PDAC
  • Examine strategies to support patient resilience and quality of life, with attention to symptom management, psychosocial needs, and multidisciplinary care
