Target Audience
Primary care physicians (PCPs), internal medicine physicians, endocrinologists, diabetologists, nurse practitioners (NPs), physician assistants (PAs), nurses, pharmacists, and other members of the interprofessional diabetes care team.
Program Overview
This educational activity is designed for the diabetes care team as a review of contemporary data on DKA prevalence, burden, risk, and trends. It aims to strengthen healthcare professionals’ ability to identify patients at higher risk for DKA and to monitor and manage them effectively.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Summarize data supporting the use of CGM to aid lifestyle changes.
- Evaluate strategies for overcoming barriers to CGM use in people with T2D.
- Describe the application of CGM devices for improving GLP-1 RA use in people with T2D.
