Bridging Gaps in Rural and Underserved Communities: Enhancing Diagnosis and Treatment Equity for Hospitalized Patients With COVID-19
COVID-19 has disproportionately impacted rural and underserved communities, where patients encounter significant barriers to timely and effective care. Patients in these regions also tend to be older and have more comorbidities linked to poor COVID-19 outcomes. In this three-part CME/CE series designed for hospital-based clinicians, experts will discuss strategies to improve diagnosis, testing, and patient selection for COVID-19 therapy based on individual risk factors for severe illness. Strategies to overcome barriers to care and treatment in rural and underserved communities will also be discussed.
This series is provided by Talem Health and RME Collaborative.
