This activity is intended for neurologists, physiatrists, orthopedic surgeons, residents, fellows, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physical therapists, and occupational therapists who manage patients with spasticity and movement disorders.
This activity reviews use of ultrasound guidance for optimizing botulinum neurotoxin injections in the hip girdle region including pattern recognition, scanning tips, and needle guidance technique.
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Discuss ultrasound scanning techniques for identification of muscles, nerves, and bones in the hip girdle region
- Use ultrasound pattern recognition to identify muscles, nerves, and bones in the hip girdle region
