Frequently Asked Questions

Everyone has questions. We have answers.

I can't remember my password and/or user ID. What can I do?

Your user ID is simply the email address you used when you signed up. If you have forgotten your password, you can request a reset which will be emailed to you.

How do I change my password and login?

Once logged in, you can access your account Profile, where you can change your password. Your account login is always the email address that you signed up with, you can sign up with a new email address, but this will create a new account with none of your current history. If you need to change your email address, please Contact Us.

I'm having problems logging into the site. What can I do?

Make sure you're logging in using the email address and password that you signed up with. If needed, you can reset your password. If you can not remember the email address that you signed up with then please Contact Us.

Are your CME activities accredited?

Yes. Each course listing contains accreditation information. Additionally, from the Courses page you can filter the listing by accreditation type.

Will these credits be accepted by my state board? Also, how many credits do I need per year?

Every course is accredited as listed on the course page. Please visit your state's board for specific information on their requirements for accepting credits.

You must pass any testing and complete the course evaluation. After this, you will be able to download your credit letter from the "My Courses" page.

Please note that freeCME.com®'s course catalog also contains links to courses hosted on partners' sites. For these courses, which should be easily noted, the credit letter must be retrieved from the partner's site.

Help, I got the wrong certificate type!

This can happen if you accidentally click on the incorrect credit type when completing a course. In this case, please Contact Us, providing your email address (login) and the complete title of the course, as well as the credit type you should have received.

I completed a course, but I don't see my credits listed.

Please check the course information. freeCME.com® hosts many courses on our own system, but also lists courses hosted on external sites. For externally hosted courses, contact information should be provided on the course site. For other courses, please Contact Us.

How can I keep track of all the courses I've completed?

freeCME.com® keeps a transcript of all the tests you've completed. To see or print the transcript, log into the site, click the "My Courses" link.

I began taking a test but didn't have time to complete it. How can I return to that test? If I've already answered some of the questions, will my answers be saved?

After logging in, you should be able to find all partially completed courses under the "My Courses" link. We make every attempt to save your progress, but occasionally a network issue may result in some questions not being saved (e.g., if your system crashes before saving the answers).

I'm having problems with some of the functionality of your website. Why am I not able to view the site as intended?

There could be many reasons for this. This site is best viewed with an HTML5 compatible browser; this list includes the versions of Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Apple's Safari. You can visit the independent (3rd party) site https://www.whatismybrowser.com/ to determine if you have the latest version of your browser.

Additionally, you may be experiencing network issues. On rare occasions, we may actually be having a service problem. You can use the site https://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ to determine if the problem is on your end ours. If you find it is on ours, please Contact Us and let us know. If you are having networking problems, then please contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and check with them.

I have a medical education course and would like to have it listed.

That's great! Please see our Partners Page for information about how to contact us to get your course listed/hosted.
