This activity is jointly provided by Paradigm Medical Communications, LLC and Educational Review Systems, Inc.
This activity is supported by an educational grant from Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc, administered by Janssen Scientific Affairs, LLC.
- Physicians — maximum of 0.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™
- Pharmacists — 0.25 contact hours (0.025 CEU)
All other healthcare professionals completing this course will be issued a statement of participation.
This activity has been designed to address the educational needs of cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, vascular surgeons, hospitalists, primary care providers, podiatrists, endocrinologists, clinical pharmacists, nurse practitioners, PAs, and other clinicians who are involved or interested in the management of patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) and/or peripheral artery disease (PAD).
Polyvascular disease, defined as atherosclerosis in 2 or more vascular beds, is associated with worse outcomes compared with single-vessel disease. Therefore, heightened vigilance and adequate pharmacologic treatment are warranted. This interactive, case-based module demonstrates appropriate treatment of a real-life patient with CAD and PAD based on the latest evidence.
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Outline key clinical trial data related to the use of dual pathway inhibition (DPI) in the treatment of CAD and/or PAD
- Develop CAD and/or PAD treatment plans that demonstrate appropriate use of DPI in heterogeneous patients
