Target Audience
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of PCPs, NPs, PAs, and nurses as well as endocrinologists who specialize in diabetes care.
Program Overview
This module addresses treatment intensification and the clinical adoption of new therapies in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D) and obesity with an objective of incorporating innovative therapies with a goal of improved patient outcomes. There will also be a focus on taking a personalized and proactive approach to T2DM and obesity treatment and incorporating up-to-date evidence into daily practice as well as fostering a culture of continuous learning and openness to change.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Recognize the limitations of relying solely on A1C thresholds for treatment intensification and the importance of adopting and integrating new therapies into clinical practice to improve patient outcomes in the management of T2D.
