HIV remains a significant public health issue, especially in rural and underserved areas where the rate of new HIV diagnoses is disproportionately high. Barriers such as lack of transportation, HIV-related stigma, and clinician shortages all pose unique challenges and contribute to gaps in HIV care and treatment. In this four-part CME/CE series, Dr. Paul Sax and Dr. Stephen Raffanti will review the latest advances in antiretroviral therapy and best practices for evidence-based management in primary care. Strategies to reduce disparities and promote equitable care in rural and underserved populations will also be reviewed.
