Program Overview
Mary Kay Koenig, MD, a leader in the management of patients with mitochondrial disease, examines the clinical presentation of thymidine kinase 2 deficiency (TK2d) through a series of cases, how to approach the diagnosis of mitochondrial disease, when to refer patients to a mitochondrial treatment center, and aspects of supportive care. She also reviews a novel investigational therapy for TK2d currently in clinical trials.
Learning Objectives
