Target Audience
This educational activity is directed toward cystic fibrosis specialists specialists, pulmonologists, pediatricians, gastroenterologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and other clinicians who provide care for patients with CF.
Program Overview
Addressing Healthcare Inequities is a video-based program in which 3 experts discuss health disparities that negatively impact patients with CF. Access to care, insurance costs, and unintended bias are just some of the factors that contribute to the existence and persistence of these disparities. This engaging format is designed to help clinicians better recognize and take steps to address ethnic and racial disparities, as well as social and economic inequities, in CF, thereby forwarding progress to improve patient outcomes.
Learning Objectives
- Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

- Identify patients who are at risk of CF health care disparities
- Analyze clinical trial data for current and emerging therapies for the treatment of CF
- Design individualized multidisciplinary management plans for patients with CF who experience health care disparities
