Program Overview
The management of patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is challenging, and a personalized approach is required. To maintain a high level of care, clinicians must remain up to date on advances in the field. The 4th Annual Live Medical Crossfire®: IBS and IBD provides an unparalleled opportunity for clinicians to solidify best practices and evaluate new developments with leaders in gastroenterology. During this 2-day conference, which was designed to educate and empower clinicians who care for patients with IBS and IBD, leading clinician researchers discuss the application of data to clinical practice.
This educational activity is an archive of the live virtual symposium held on February 24-25, 2023.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:
- Summarize the guideline-recommended criteria and testing procedures needed to make an early, accurate diagnosis of IBS or IBD
- Apply current guideline recommendations to the pharmacological and non-pharmacological management of patients with IBS or IBD
- Assess clinical evidence for the efficacy and safety of biologic and nonbiologic agents used in the management of IBS or IBD
- Develop individualized short- and long-term treatment plans that optimally manage IBS or IBD to improve patient outcomes and health-related quality of life
