Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

• Recognize the characteristic features of HS and the challenges that result from associated psychological and medical comorbidities.
• Determine when it is important to refer the patient to a dermatologist or other specialists for diagnosis further assessment, and/or care.
• Devise multifaceted and multidisciplinary treatment strategies for patients with HS which are informed by available evidence and individual patient needs.
• Develop individualized management plans for patients with HS which incorporate aspects of the patient journey.
