Target Audience

This activity is intended for neurologists, physiatrists, orthopedic surgeons, residents, fellows, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physical therapists, and occupational therapists who manage patients with spasticity and movement disorders.

Program Overview

This activity reviews use of ultrasound guidance for optimizing botulinum neurotoxin injections in the leg and calf region including pattern recognition, scanning tips, and needle guidance techniques

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

  • Discuss ultrasound scanning techniques for identification of muscles, nerves, and bones in the lower limb (calf, leg) region
  • Identify key muscles, nerves, and bones in the lower limb (leg, calf) using ultrasound pattern recognition
